Privacy policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you use Online JS Compiler.
Last updated: August 21, 2026
1. The short version
Online JS Compiler is a frontend-only application. You can use the playground without creating an account. Your editor content and local workspace settings are designed to remain in your browser unless you choose to copy, share, or send information to an external service.
2. Information you provide
The service may process code, test cases, console output, and settings that you enter into the interface. This information is needed to provide the playground experience. Do not enter passwords, private keys, personal records, or other confidential information into code or prompts unless you understand the risks.
3. Browser storage
The playground may use browser storage for preferences and local workspace functionality, such as theme selection or a saved snippet. Browser storage is controlled by your device and browser. Clearing site data removes locally stored information. Treat shared or unmanaged devices as untrusted.
4. Code execution
Code entered into the playground is executed in an isolated browser context intended to keep it separate from the main application interface. Browser isolation is not a guarantee of security for every possible program or browser environment, so you should review code before running it and avoid using sensitive data.
5. AI providers and BYOK requests
If you use test-generation features, you provide your own API key and choose the provider. Requests are made directly from your browser to that provider; Online JS Compiler does not operate a backend proxy for those requests. The provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply. We recommend using short-lived, limited-scope keys and removing them when finished. A key is only retained in browser session storage when you choose the available store option.
6. Third-party links and services
The application may link to external websites or services. We do not control those services. Review their policies before sending information or credentials, and confirm the destination of every request.
7. Changes and questions
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. If you have a privacy question, contact hello@onlinejscompiler.com.
